SVP, PRESIDENT, INTERNATIONAL

Rakesh Kumar serves as SVP and President, International. He leads the business and commercial teams for all markets outside North America and is responsible for driving growth and profitability in a diverse set of markets in the International region. He has over 25 years of experience in healthcare in both developed and emerging markets in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, and his work experience encompasses medical devices as well as diagnostics.

Rakesh came to embecta with the spinoff from BD where he previously led the Preanalytical Systems business in Europe and Medication Delivery Systems business in Asia. Most recently, Rakesh has played a key role in successfully separating a complex and challenging set of markets from BD while driving growth, maintaining brand leadership and building commercial teams for continued success.

Rakesh graduated with honors in Economics from the University of Delhi and has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
